The most important thing to do when gaining more space is to “define” it. By defining your space I mean to designate what each closet, drawer, and area should be used for. Put like with like.

For a creature of habit it was quite an adjustment. The first thing I did was to decide room by room what I was taking with me. I evaluated the curtains, lighting, and furniture. After this, I either sold or gave away the items that I wasn’t able to use. I also packed up the items that I didn’t use on a regular basis. This made the move so much easier.

Aside from the usual spring cleaning, alot of us are moving or get ready to move. So how do you make that move easier. Start by planning ahead.


1. Go through each room and decide what to keep, sell, and donate.

2. Start using up your food supply.

3. Use up your samples ie…shampoos lotions…ect

4. Go ahead and start packing items that you don’t use on a regular basis.
